LGG adheres to intestinal mucosa via SpaCBA pili, which bind MUC2 mucin and fibronectin in the epithelial glycocalyx. This creates a protective probiotic biofilm that competitively excludes enteropathogens such as EPEC, ETEC, Salmonella, and rotavirus.

clinical trials supporting LGG as the most validated paediatric probiotic globally
Why Kid Syrup works.
Lorbiotics-Kid Syrup delivers Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) — the world’s most extensively studied probiotic strain, backed by over 800 clinical trials.
Formulated as a tasty, easy-to-administer paediatric oral syrup, it provides the highest level of clinical evidence for supporting gut health and immunity in infants and children. LGG is proven effective against acute gastroenteritis, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, atopic eczema prevention, and overall immune enhancement (endorsed by ESPGHAN, WHO, and WGO).
Originally isolated from healthy human intestinal flora, LGG stands out for its superior resilience: it survives acidic pH 3.0 and physiological bile salts, and features unique pili (SpaCBA/SpaFED) that enable strong adhesion to intestinal MUC2 mucin. This results in prolonged gut colonisation — persisting up to 2 weeks after stopping supplementation — far longer than most probiotics.
The child-friendly syrup offers accurate per-ml dosing, pleasant taste, and can be mixed with formula, juice, or food at room temperature — ideal even for infants and children with swallowing challenges.

How it works, step by step.
The documented biological pathway — exactly how each component acts inside the body.
This physical barrier is reinforced by LGG-secreted proteins p40 and p75, which activate EGFR on epithelial cells, enhancing tight junction integrity and protecting against pathogen-induced apoptosis.
Immune Modulation: LGG promotes Treg differentiation via sustained TGF-β and IL-10 production in Peyer's patches, inducing a tolerogenic response that dampens the Th2 allergic phenotype linked to infantile eczema and food allergies.
Clinical trials (public cited literature) show that early-life LGG supplementation reduces eczema incidence by ~50% in high-risk infants at 2 years.
Acute Gastroenteritis: LGG shortens diarrhea duration by an average of 1.1 days (strongest evidence among pediatric probiotics) through direct inhibition of rotavirus replication and enhanced rotavirus-specific IgA responses.
