Why Atopic Forte works.
Lorbiotics-Atopic Forte is the premium, multi-strain dermatological probiotic in the Lorbiotics range, specifically developed for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis requiring a comprehensive, multi-mechanism approach.
It combines three clinically targeted strains - Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifidobacterium lactis, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus - with Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), a prebiotic, and a proprietary Phytoactivant blend.
This advanced formulation delivers synergistic benefits including immune modulation, antagonism of S. aureus, and enhanced skin barrier renewal.
Targeted Immune Action
Moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis involves complex cytokine imbalance with excess Th2 (IL-4, IL-13), Th17 (IL-17, IL-22), and Th22 activity, driving inflammation, epidermal hyperproliferation, and barrier dysfunction.
L. plantarum counters Th2 dominance via IL-12 induction.
B. lactis modulates Th17 pathways through IL-10-mediated Treg promotion.
L. rhamnosus provides complementary Treg induction for sustained immune tolerance.
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) Support
Riboflavin serves as a critical cofactor (FAD/FMN) for glutathione reductase, enabling continuous regeneration of reduced glutathione - the skin’s primary antioxidant defense.
Patients with chronic inflammatory skin conditions often show riboflavin deficiency; supplementation accelerates lesion resolution and supports skin recovery.
Lorbiotics-Atopic Forte offers a higher-complexity, multi-targeted solution for challenging atopic dermatitis cases.

How it works, step by step.
The documented biological pathway — exactly how each component acts inside the body.
It activates natural suppressor proteins (A20 and IκBα) inside intestinal dendritic cells.
These suppressors block the NF-κB pathway, which then reduces the activity of two important master switches (GATA-3 and RORγt) in immune T-cells of the skin-draining lymph nodes.
Because it targets these upstream master regulators, L. plantarum creates a wider and longer-lasting balance in the immune system than medicines that only block single cytokines downstream. This is why it shows better results in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD).
Bifidobacterium lactis helps through two different actions:
It produces acetate, which lowers the pH in the intestine. This makes the gut less hospitable for Staphylococcus aureus, reducing the amount of bacteria that can travel from the gut through the blood and colonise the skin.
It activates EGFR signals in skin cells (keratinocytes). This boosts skin cell growth, movement, and maturation, helping to repair and rebuild the damaged skin barrier in AD.
Phytoactivants in the blend provide extra anti-inflammatory support by blocking two key inflammation enzymes: COX-2 and 5-LOX.
This version uses very short sentences, everyday wording, and clear cause-and-effect structure for maximum clarity.
Every ingredient earns its place.
